New dresser

This little mouse is Blossom (Ajax is camera shy and hiding) ... the dresser I just finished tonight. It is a House of Miniatures kit that I doctored up. I painted it mint and then banged it up and aged it. I painted a faux marble top on it, printed an old antique advertisement that I scaled down and added to the drawers, and finally I added rhinestone knobs. These are actually doorknobs, and probably a bit off scale, but I wanted something big and sparkly :) I am rather pleased with this dresser.

Oh, it's fab! Nice job! I love the advertisement; caught my eye right away. The oversized knobs are shabby chic :)

Thank you :) I've been seeing lots of these kinds of techniques on dressers and other furniture and wanted a particular look so tried one myself. Blossom loves her dresser... she claims to have brought it over to the states from Paris :)

You are "rather pleased" with the dresser? What is wrong with you? I would be over the moon if I created something like that! It us beautiful and most unique. And Blossom, the same goes for you!
