sorry trying again.... having problems with posting today....

Taking a cue from Keli (iseecerulean) I used her idea and installed a fireplace under the stairs. I did this probably for the same reasons she did :) the chimney needed to so "somewhere" and the space under the stairs really isn't all that useable anyhow...

The fireplace is made with scrap wood, wallpaper "bricks"... some twigs from my yard in the firebox, a bit of crown molding for the mantel and some trim. I think it turned out ok..... especially since I decided to build this AFTER the stairs were installed... LOL.....

thank you ladies.... I do think it needs a bit more trim... and some touch up.... it's a bit hard to get to now that it is installed tho..... to get a good look at it I have to stare in through the window opening like a peeping Tom.... LOL
