Here is the ceiling in Bran Castle that inspired me... I WILL try this again.... (I hate using a flash... but I wanted the colors to show up so I could copy the ceiling when I got home)

LOL... I felt like I freak when I saw these.... there we were wandering around this castle (which I fell in love with BTW) and we walked into this room with this ceiling... I started giggling with excitement and started snapping a dozen pictures (the doors in this room match the ceiling... I snapped pictures of those too).... my travel buddies thought I was nuts... ha ha... but I just knew I'd use this treatment on a build... I will do it much better next time :)

Don't feel too bad. I asked a local realtor if I could tag along on a showing so I could photograph woodwork, carvings, and gorgeous curved stair casings. They agreed btw.
