KathieB 6,117 Posted March 30, 2013 The detailing is fabulous. I think this is called a porte-cochere (a coach gate or carriage porch). Not to be confused with a carport, where a vehicle is parked. The porte-cochere is used to load or unload passengers, with the vehicle passing on through. Quote Link to comment
