table issue

I made the decision to cut down this table, The guy who sold it too me says he can do it '' no problem'' they professionally restore antiques and have had requests like this before, its just too high and a coffee table is too low, end table is about the right height but yet need something big and sturdy also, and the wheels are very important.

Debora I am speechless...You've made such a good purchase! This Cathedral is stunning in the corner of your sitting room. I adore the table and your fireplace too! But why Americans put TV above the fireplace? For reasons of practicallity I assume... still it seems quite awkward for my 'continental' eyes :p Very fine kit!!!

Thank you, but this is NOT a kit, its all handmade from the 1920s held together by dowels and great craftsmanship.
