Model of a house from building construction class

tuffy

I went down to Hershey, PA last October 09. Once year, Hershey has car meet that runs for a week. During one of Darrin's and my excursions, we found this model of house. The house was used as a model to show how the studding would go and using the studding get a feel of the layout of the house. From what I can remember, it was used in a building construction class. Also, it was to show how the wiring, the siding, windows and what nots, would be fitted in. If I had had enough money and space, I believe I would have bought it. This would make a very good doll house.

What do you think?

I would love to have a house like that. It would be a shame to cover all that detail to finish it. It might be fun to just leave it as is. It looks so real. It would be neat to put little dolls in work clothes etc in it.

I wish you could have bought it! It would have made a great dollhouse.

I have something similar, that was also done as a school assignment. (I didn't build it, it was given to me.) It's a model of a barn, so it doesn't have dormers, or a chimney ... but I love it! No tags on it. I've been wondering what to do - do I cover all that lovely work, or do I leave it bare? I like Pat's idea of worker dolls busy with construction. :D

Looks like a neat miniature windmill in the background of your shot!
