This is what I've got done so far. There is going to be more baseboard molding to cover up the edges of the tiles. One of the biggest problems is that the tiles weren't exactly even thicknesses, which means I have to add to the bottom of things like the fireplace to fill in the gaps. The fireplace, (Houseworks), was larger than I would have liked, but it is the only one I had which would take the stained glass trim. (I am trying to do this roombox with only things I already have around the house).

The flat columns in the Malachite room in the Hermitage were the inspiration for the ones I am making from the stained glass. There is also going to be wainscotting, with gold trim. My inspiration for that is the green room in Pavlovsk.

Love what you have done with the stained glass-- it's a beautiful room already! Wondering how you came across the glass pieces??

They were cutoffs of tiles in a bathroom in a house my husband is working on. After the bathroom was finished, my husband asked the tile guy if he could have the cut offs!

Kathi, this is gorgeous!! It really takes my breath away!

Isn't it satisfying to make something incredibly beautiful by using odds & ends or throwaway pieces, and spending little or nothing?

Hi, I sure was impressed by your roombox. Unfortunately, it gave me new ideas for my roombox that I had just decided to turn into a little gift shop. The moldings really look great, and fun to do. Probably, too much for a shop though I guess. I'll keep watching for the follow-ups. I liked the floor too, of course. Sue
