Cladding - first coat of paint

Loving that shade of red.

That’s one of my favorite shade of red! Love the board and batten.

I like the inspiration pic in the background. 

Cute!! Love the colour! (Almost the same shade as my real life house!) The windows look fantastic, very neat.

Thanks!  It's as close to the traditional Falu red that I could find.

First time I've done board and batten and it was surprisingly easy and quick!

I have a whole bunch of them on the wall!  That's one thing I do with my projects.  Once I'm done they all come down and the new ones go up.  Have to say I'm getting very excited about my next build.  I have heard through the grapevine that you might also be entering this year???

Hard to paint around the windows and just as hard to mask.  The second coat will go on today and I will mask as well as possible.  I've never thought about having a red house - it's only because I'm copying traditional design that I have it.  It does look good though!  Out of my comfort zone!

Yes, I bought the kit, so I’m committed...or should be, LOL. My kit is back ordered to June.

I do inspiration photo albums on my iPad for each project. Some I print out for reference.

Wow!  I guess all their social media has worked well this year!  Mine is on order and is probably somewhere between the US and here.
