First fire

WyckedWood

Getting a batch ready for first fire. For the first fire I establish the eyebrows which get darkened later, eye whites, first blush and light coat of paint on lips. Since it’s done in layers I think of this layer as the ghost fire. Barely there, just a ghost of what’s to come.

The first thing I though was she’s a red head in the making. It must be so fun to see how they evolve with their own little personalities.

I love seeing the steps to creating something. Doing it that way must give the depth that your dolls faces have. Beautiful! I think she looks quite lovely as a 'ghost'

Doll makers are extraordinary people...I am really loving your work and photos showing progress of making them.
