Ghost bride

WyckedWood

Working on the paint for a ghost bride. This doll I bought as a blank, she's from a Gina Bellous mold. It was challenging to paint a different expression from what is sculpted on the doll. I wanted her to look like she's softly sobbing. Her mascara has run but she's still pretty. Eventually when her oil paint dries I'll add a little white powder. I tried doing the white powder first but that was a big fail. My inspiration is kind of the look of Kim Basinger in the music video Last Dance with Mary Jane.

She fought me a bit..I don't think she wanted to be dead so I had to explain..its theater..you're just acting like you're dead.

Might be cool if she's holding Tom Pettys top hat :)

I think you've captured a sad expression perfectly. It's all in the eybrows for me. Sad eyebrows = sad face :D
