Petite Princess chair and ottoman

otterine

I've always loved the shape and color of this Petite Princess chair and ottoman. I found a decent set at a good price on eBay and decided to take the plunge. I knew it would be a bit small for 1:12 scale -- I believe it's meant to be 1:16 scale. It's comparable to a Chrysnbon chair, so it's not terrible for full scale...just a little low to the ground.

Brae, you have a slipper chair in just the right scale. They aren't usually paired with an ottoman. Perhaps it could be used elsewhere? According to furniture.about.com

A slipper chair is simply an armless upholstered chair that has short legs so that it sits closer to the ground.

Originally when it first made its appearance in the early 18th century, this low slung chair was used in ladies' bedrooms as seating, and to help when getting dressed. By contrast, in today's homes, slipper chairs can be found in any room including living rooms.
