1/6 scale channel molding idea

So this has been on my mind, trying to achieve a nice clean look where the room boxes join, the arch creates a challenge but I think I can make that work also, for now I came up with a 1 inch home made channel molding that slides on and off. I don't know if I can buy 1 inch channel molding, but I can choose the thickness of material this way. This is a quick fit and I think it will look good when the channel molding is glued together tightly [ I was anxious to see the results ] and painted

What a great idea!  and that arch moulding just has me swooning!  :)

 

Thank you, a lot of thought went into the door casings, between the crown molding and the combination of moldings here that make up the entire door casing, I must have looked at over 1000 trim options, and the 2 sided gothic arch molding I had made special just for this.
