Living room

beyondbaffled

Forgive the crappy pic, but I am in so much love with how the painted 1/2 walls and wallpaper finally look with the chair rail and baseboards up!!! I finished the front door (except for the doggy door - haven't figured out how to cover that yet?) so I could add the trim on this wall. I'll have to put my window in and finish it with trim before I can continue the railing onto the next wall.

Looks great and compliments your floor nicely too. Is your doggie door meant to be the style that opens on hinges, slides in a track to open, or flaps freely for the poochie to push through?

I was thinking the flaps freely kind, but if you have ideas on how to make one I'll take any suggestions! :)

I can't decide if I should restain the floor or leave it as is?  I don't want it any darker I don't think, but I thought stain might help seal some of the boards together?

This is so pretty. And I really admire how perfectly all your corners/edges are cut. My eyesight is horrible and I cannot get close enough in my dollhouse to get such perfection. Love this!

A doggie door!! Genius! What about a piece of vellum as the covering? The dog doors we've had have all had an opaque look to the plastic flap anyway, so that might work well?

This is really pretty. I love the floors, and you've made it look so much larger than it really is.  I like the vellum idea too for the doggie door.
