Keep in mind there will be a border around the bottom (I dunno what you call it?) and crown molding at the top. Now with the white fixtures (tub, toilet, sink) will the white tile on the walls be too much?

The second one. I love the blue tile, but it actually shows better contrasted with the white. By itself, it is a bit overwhelming. Your bathroom is going to look awesome.

Once you get the shower curtain, bathmat & commode rug, window covering and cabinetry in you'll have lots of opportunity for more color.

Option 2 looks bigger because of the white tiles however when the white fitting are in place I thin option 1 would look good - hard to tell without seeing them.
