Roxxie
Oh I definitly am that but the ceilings certainly did not work. I think you are very kind. I am going to try and "plaster" somehow maybe with spackle? I need to consult with the Queen I think!
Sherry
Plaster would work great at covering up things. I don't know about putting it over paper, haven't tried that. Can you get the paper off the ceiling?
Roxxie
Thats another problem. The paper stuck beautifully! lol I saw in HBS paper that looks like plaster. It comes on a roll. I wonder if that would glue over the top of that paper? I was going to try dampening the paper with a sponge and see if it would peel off. Efficient me sprayed the paper first with acrylic sealer so that might not work either.
havanaholly
The acrylkic sealer will help you peel off the paper. Start around the edges of the paper with a damp rag and when they start to loosen gently peel the paper back and continue dampening the paper. The only problem with spackling oner the paper is that the moisture from the spackle will loosen your paper and you'll get to do it all over again. Once the paper's off I'm assuming the ceiling's primed, so spread on your spackle about 1/8" or less thick, just to cover, and then use a sponge, paintbrush, wadded paper, the corner of an expired credit card to texture it how you want your "plaster" to look. When it's dry you can always go back and sand it down if it's too bumpy looking.
