SusannaT
OK. So I'm working on hiding the wiring, after the fact...oh joy... in my daughter's Orchid. Drilled a couple holes to get the wire through in a better spot. Naturally had to take the plugs apart. And now... After trying to put the two plugs together again, they just don't work. (Kinda like Humpty Dumpty) So I figure I've done something wrong. Does anyone know of a "idiot's guide to putting a plug together again" online somewhere? I'd love to know just what I'm doing wrong here.. ;)
SusannaT
Nevermind... I got thge lights working again. Took a few more tries and a few choice words ;)
Peggi
Glad you got them working. Its working with small parts with big hands that make it hard to fix.
Deb
Nevermind... I got thge lights working again. Took a few more tries and a few choice words ;) It's the choice words that did it. I think electricity is better conducted with profanity than with copper. Deb
havanaholly
a few choice words Just remember to turn on a fan to dissipate the big blue cloud that forms above you or it will rise into the air, and any hapless little birds or insects flying through it will drop to the earth stunned, if not dead, to be feasted upon by any feral (or domestic) felines who happen to be in the vicinity... minilinda2001
You guys are such funny bunnies! Susanna, I would love to see how you did the wiring... I am still scared skinny (I wish!!!) to do any wiring. I am great at copying though.... Since they worked so well, can you send me a list of those choice words? Are they exclusive to wiring or do they work on other projects too???
havanaholly
Since they worked so well, can you send me a list of those choice words? I actually believe it's against the law to do it, and I certainly wouldn't sully our wonderful GL forum with them, but if you drop in at your local biker bar or truckstop or shipping dock & hang out in a dark corner for a few hours I'm sure you'll learn a *magic* word or two to help you with your build... SusannaT
We Finns like to RRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrolllllllllllllll our r's... They work like a charm. And I bet you the cencors wouldn't even catch them on this board..heheheee... Basically what I did was, drill two holes to get the downstairs ceiling lamp wires up and under the carpet. But before I start cutting up more of the edging strips to hide the rest of the wires i need to buy a miter box
havanaholly
My *magic* words are in English & don't contain a lot of Rrrs; mostly dental & palatine consonants.
