Sue Murray
I am working on the Lily and am on Instruction H, assembly of the Roof. I am on 6. These pieces were not scored on the back so I tried the suggestion to lay wet paper towels on scored side, which mine aren't scored. Although the paper towels did wet the wood, the wood pieces remain brittle and did not bend natural. I'm afraid the pieces will break if I bend them. What else can I do. Any suggestions please. havanaholly
You can carefully score the underside yourself with a utility knife and new, sharp blade and a steel straight edge, being careful to only cut through about halfway. Then dampen it and gently bennd it how you need it to go. After it's attached you can use your finger to smooth joint compound or spackle over the scored side to get a smooth finish. Khadi
I wish I did have some suggestions for you. I must confess after weeks of soaking and scoring with no luck, I finally gave up and sold my Lily. I hope you have better luck than me. It's a cute house. Mid-life madness
I suggest using thin cardboard, like the type used for cereal boxes....Even a thicker card stock. No one will ever know.
