chevrefoil
When I was about 5, my mom built the Arthur for me and we decorated the interior - flooring, paint, wallpaper. It was my first dollhouse and I still remember that awful blue paint I picked for the exterior. A few years later, my mom gave me a much larger dollhouse as a Christmas present (best Christmas morning ever!) and the Arthur was passed down to my little sister who played with it until my mom built her one of her own. The dollhouse was eventually lost to time/moving. I'm working on refurbishing my childhood Victorian as a future gift for my daughter, but I decided to pick up an Arthur kit to see if I can recreate my very first dollhouse.
Medieval
Sorry the original was lost to time. But recreating it is also a good way to remember past people and times. Welcome to the forum. What fun to recreate the Arthur of your childhood. And working with the smaller house will give you skills and confidence to apply to the big house renovation. havanaholly
The last time I went back was for a paddling event the year following my 50th high school reunion (Palm Beach High School, which no longer exists) in 2010.
