gemlady
I know it has been covered about removing glue from wood. But I have a new one I found some xmas glass grape orements at Dollar Tree and they are just right for light shades now the thing is to remove them from the stems the glue is hard I tried the heat and polish remover trick. no go. Any other suggestion ?
chesterfieldzoo
clear glass or purple? sounds intriguing. did you try soaking in paint/furniture stripper?
gemlady
They are clear. I thought I could use my own glass paint to paint them the way I want . I'll try the stripper it needs to be a strong soulition because that glue is hard.
doogster
My guess on glass, from a craft store would be hot glue. In that case you might be able to peel it off the glass. The only other thing I can think of that will adhere to glass is epoxy resin. In that case sandblasting won't help. I would have guessed CA, but you already tried nail polish remover. Unless it was acetone free remover. It has to be acetone based to work on CA. But I'm sure your's was.
havanaholly
Let us know what works, please. Don't forget to wear protective gloves when working with paint stripper!
