Hallowell
Hi Everyone, I've been on a search for the maker and name of this house kit that was discontinued several years ago. http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/album/555080063ZOFuqr
Minis On The Edge
It sure is pretty but I don't know who the maker is of that one. I love the color scheme!!
Annette
I don't know who makes it either, but it's really nice. Love how it opens to get to the rooms.
Hallowell
It's a great house, it sits in a small dollhouse shop in midcoast Maine.
hydroped
Hi Greg, It's a beauty of a house but it reminds me more of a home built than a kit because of all the different places the house opens up. Maybe it's by a European kit maker? - It reminds me of the houses designed by Jacqueline Kerr Deiber. She often had them opening in multiple places and designed houses so they could be viewed and accessessed from more than one side. Not sure if this helps any. -David
Hallowell
Thanx David, I was also thinking that it was a homebuilt house. The owner thinks it's from a discontinued kit. The mystery lives on. (:
Carrie
I went to a tradeshow for miniatures and dollhouses in New York in the eighties. This house looks like a Walmer House. They were very well made with pine.
Hallowell
Thanx Carrie, that is a possibility. The owner said it was produced in the 80's. Walmer later sold to Real Good Toys. I'll check on it. Thanx
queenannediva
The house is the "Queen Anne Row House" by American Craft Products of Wauconda, IL (long out of business). It is listed in the 1984 issue of "The Miniatures Catalog" and one of the mini shops I frequent has one on display. The ad states it measures 37" H x 26" W and 33" D, with 3 floors, 9 rooms made of 3/8" plywood. Hope this helps. Valerie
Charlene
Gee that's a nice house -- too bad they're out of business.

I went through some buyers guides from the 80's and found a few similar, but none the same.
