woodland_miniatures
Tried to upload an image into my album and it wouldn't take it, said the image type wasn't acceptable. I took the pic using my digital camera, fiddled with it on my new laptop using a program called "Photo Maker" that came with the laptop and the only type of file that program seems to generate is something called "PMP" - so instead of the file name being -------dot jpeg or somesuch, it's -------dot pmp, which apparently can't be uploaded here. What do I do? I always used the photo program that was on my old computer - didn't want to have to buy anything fancy and still don't. It always worked fine - but it seems this new-fangled gadget doesn't! ARGH!!!
KathieB
Mary, I use a free photo program called FastStone Image Viewer 4.3 . It lets me crop, fiddle with color/shading, resize, and do other neat things. Click on the link to get the download.

Merry
It's also easy to use "paint." Right click on your image and open with "paint." Click Edit. Save As Select jpeg or jpg on the bottom drop down. It will save as a new picture in the folder that holds that original picture.
woodland_miniatures
I don't seem to have "paint" or at least I can't seem to find it - which doesn't mean it isn't there....somewhere. It's a good thought, and I thank you, Mary.

havanaholly
"Paint" is under "Accessories" in our "All Programs" menu. When I upload photo CDs into "My Pictures they seem to save as jpeg.
