sammy
So, being in Australia, and not feeling like I could afford the shipping of Greenleaf houses from America. I started scoping out ebay. And after 1 day(!) I found one! I went straight ahead and placed a bid and won the auction even. Now sitting here waiting for the house to arrive at my doorstep, I am getting scared. I might be way over my head with a complicated house as my first one... Has anyone seen or build this house before? Is it as complicated as it looks? and it also comes with furniture
havanaholly
Those are by Wood Craft and are puzzle houses. I believe they come with numbered diagrams to assemble them. I love yours! I hope the house/ castle is 1:24 scale, because the furniture kit is. I have that set to furnigh the Wood Craft Fantasy Villa I have waiting in its box to be built. Our Tracy/ Minis on the Edge sells those houses (or used to).
sammy
Yes, it is 1:24 scale. I just fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I am planning on doing it in a sort of gothic style and colouring. Been trying to google for hints and tips about gothic colouring both outside and inside, but not found much. Would love to get ideas from pictures...
havanaholly
Tracy has built the castle, check out her gassery. Since it's a Fantasy Villa, I've been thinking of using pine cone leaflets for roofing tiles & things of that nature; sort of a Faerie thing going on. justmesue
The puzzle houses are easy to assemble. They are built by number. You find the peice, and tab 1 inserts into slot 2, and so forth. You'll do just fine. Congrats, and have fun with the build.
Liesl
Are puzzle houses always 1:24 scale?
havanaholly
Are puzzle houses always 1:24 scale? No. I have a set of three 1:48 Chinese houses to put together when I get brave enough to move down to that scale.
