Cuppa-Tea
My husband is a WWII buff, and he found this photo of some Allied soldiers searching a cottage in the Alpine region of Germany in 1943... the town is called Garmisch and it's in the Bayeurische Region. Anyway, doesn't it look just like my Sugarplum Cottage? (Dean, this one's for you! )

LPCullen
Except for the different arch to the doorway, it does look like a Sugarplum!
Cuppa-Tea
Well, remember Linda, I did alter the arch to my doorway (wink wink!)

havanaholly
Unfortunately I suppose to help them face having to go off & do the real thing. I like the Sugarplum!
Cuppa-Tea
Now THAT'S what I'm talkin about! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ;) Do you feel better now??? DH has a massive collection of action figures, including these 6"ers. I am posting another photo below, which I took with a flash so you can see more detail. My favorite detail is the black hen roosting in the shrubbery. I even ripped the curtain down from the front window... just for you. Friends? PS the photo in the background is an actual photo from our trip to the German Alps several years ago. We stayed in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which was occupied by the Allies though I don't know what year. Rumor has it that the Nazis hid a large cache of gold and ammunition in the mountains, and the spot was so treacherous and well-hidden that it was never found.
