old wallpaper stripped

Juliana

I didn't like the wallpaper patterns, even though most of it was in good shape, so out it goes! Yes, I love making extra work for myself... ;)

I did save all of the wood trim pieces. None of them broke, amazingly, so they can go right back in again if I decide I need them.

I'm not sure on the scale, Alexander. Nothing in this house seems to be a standard size as its all scratch built. I thought 1:12 at first, until I measured the inner doorways. They are only 5 3/4"...so a 6' man would crack his head walking through them. Then I thought 1:16? But if so, I will have a bear of a time finding furniture that I like. :( So I measured the stair treads and found they are just under 1/2" which translates to under 6" in 1:12 (too small), under 8" in 1:16 (passable, but still small) but a comfortable 10-11" tread in 1:24!

So we might have a grand half scale palace here with 18' ceilings! Not unheard of in the deep south, or so I've read. :D
