018 Scale

CheckMouse

This is smaller than 1:12 scale, as many older dollhouses seemed to be. But it's not 1:24 scale either. Not sure just what it is.

This is exciting! I have lots of books about antique dollhouses. Maybe I'll see it in one of them. I do know that some of them were 3/4 scale.

I haven't built in the 1:24 scale yet. I just assumed since an 8' ceiling is standard for the 1:12 then the other would be about half of that; which would make 6" too high. Maybe I should buy one piece of 1:24 furniture and see how it looks in there :)

I did some more research last night - A lot of the Lundby dollhouses, made in Sweden, were 1:18 scale, sometimes called 2/3 scale. That seems about right for this one. The 1st floor ceiling is 6" high with a 4.5" doorway. The 2nd floor is 5" high with a 4.25" doorway.
