jrchob 743 Posted January 7, 2014 That is the height of the main rooms in my Morningside Mansion (1:24) Quote Link to comment
Blondie 2,579 Posted January 7, 2014 This is exciting! I have lots of books about antique dollhouses. Maybe I'll see it in one of them. I do know that some of them were 3/4 scale. 1 Quote Link to comment
CheckMouse 1,942 Posted January 7, 2014 I haven't built in the 1:24 scale yet. I just assumed since an 8' ceiling is standard for the 1:12 then the other would be about half of that; which would make 6" too high. Maybe I should buy one piece of 1:24 furniture and see how it looks in there Quote Link to comment
jrchob 743 Posted January 7, 2014 Might check the window and door openings to see if they are about the same size as doors and windows for 1:24 Quote Link to comment
CheckMouse 1,942 Posted January 8, 2014 I did some more research last night - A lot of the Lundby dollhouses, made in Sweden, were 1:18 scale, sometimes called 2/3 scale. That seems about right for this one. The 1st floor ceiling is 6" high with a 4.5" doorway. The 2nd floor is 5" high with a 4.25" doorway. Quote Link to comment
