Pierce Roof Top gazebo

M and D

Railings, gingerbread, trim complete, ready for shingles.

Who thinks a copper roof would look good instead of shingles??

I'm leaning toward shingles. I like the way you reduced the scale of the gazebo. It's more in keeping with the rest of the house. I think a copper roof, unless it's aged to a dark, dull patina, might be distracting and maybe make it look top heavy again.

I love the house the way it is, so I wouldn't mess with perfection. Then again, if you really want the copper roof, I am sure it would look great, and I am sure that you can do it. - My vote, however, would be for the shingles.

I really like this bash. The gazebo looks great and balanced. I like copper roofs a lot, but agree that it may distract from the rest of the house, throwing off the balance you've achieved. I'd probably temporarily put copper on one side and shingles on the other so I could stare at it awhile before deciding, but thats just me :)

I really don't have the correct tools to do a copper roof especially to get the raised seems correct so as much as I would like to try it I think I will do the shingles.

Oh,and I'm the oddball,as usual, cuz I could see a SHINY copper roof being the perfect contrast,NOT distraction,to the grey and blue! But,grey shingles will look fabulous, too! You can hardly mess this up,imo,as it's gorgeous!! :) Great job!

You made a beautiful house and the gazebo is wonderful, the best I have ever seen.  I like the lovely colours you have chosen and all the little details and I am impressed by your neatness.  I really enjoyed looking at your photos, very inspirational, thank you :)
