The shingles are all left-over from other houses-- I wanted hexagon shingles (since I used fish-scale on the fronts of the gables), so I had to scrounge through all my scrap boxes and convert a fair number of fish-scale to hexagon (and some odd siding strip pieces, too)-- but finally made it!
The shingles are painted with a wash of black-gray-touch-of-brown, with a smidge of silver paint in there too.
