My Current Project

Windsor

I'm still working on the top left drawer (obviously!) and the finish still needs some touching up. It's not often I build a piece like this, mostly due to the difficulty of obtaining the matching woods! It is walnut with black walnut burl on the front. You have no idea how hard it was to create the round banding effect! I'm always up for a challenge but this was by far the hardest thing I've done in a while! Haven't decided if I want to add a Mirror on top or just leave it as is, thoughts?

It is STUNNING. For me, I think a mirror would take away from it. I think it stands well on its own. Others may feel differently, but I love it without extras!

Thanks! I also can't decide what kind of knobs to use. I'm thinking maybe wood knobs to complement the antique look but time will tell!

when I watched at this image I thought it was real...

Congratulations, this is one of the most authentic miniature I have ever seen...no words, it is out of this world: pure beauty.

Your craftsmanship is impeccable ... lovely work!

I would not add a mirror. The owner might choose to hang a mirror on the wall above it, but without an attached mirror, this piece could be used as a linen press in the dining room as well as for clothing storage in the bedroom.
