Flooring idea

My idea for flooring involves painting [ stenciling] Some paper is also involved, I want to design faux tile and there is a carpet look here in the dining area.I have borders to add as well. The tough part is keeping it cohesive. I am big on flooring that can flow from one room into another if possible.

There is so much pattern, but you make it work effortlessly. I couldn't imagine eliminating one thing here. It's just lovely!
