Option 2: Without railing

I'm planning to replace the original stairs with stone steps. Here's the foam core board mockup of the steps and, in this option, pedestals at the end with those fab horses I bought. This option is more open than the one with the railing, but at the moment, the stairs and pedestals get somewhat lost in the overall look. I think that's just because they aren't painted and the porch isn't on, etc.

Holding... but in the mean time, I like the wrought iron fence look. Makes me think of the forbidden scary house that your afraid to even touch the fence, let alone the yard
