Palladian door installed

otterine

To get this door to work, I needed to adjust the rectangular hole to fit an arched door. You couldn't tell from the previous photo, but there were two triangle shaped gaps on either side of the top. I used two spare pieces from my old lost Dura-Craft kit to replace the pieces that were too small. Right now I have the outer frame painted charcoal grey as the underlayer. I'm not sure what color paint I will crackle over it. I'm also undecided on the door color...but I am leaning towards blood red since I somehow managed to cut myself on the door. :o Maybe it's haunted already!

It looks so cool!

I like the trim color how it is. What about mini sandblasting to age it? Or can you just crackle on top of it to expose the wood beneath?

Yes, my twin pea Lyssa, I was leaning toward crackling black over the charcoal grey. :D

The cut wasn't bad at all, but it sure did get all over. <_<
