found treasure

Debora59

Does anyone know of or ever heard of a builder who made 5 highly detailed miniature 1in scale buildings, around the 1920s he was from Chicago.

we came accross one of the 5 at an antique store in Iowa, mostly hidden behind stuff for last 5 years. Its a very large cathedral, 5 ft tall 4 ft deep and at least 3.5 wide. It looks like Colonge Cathedral. I have a little picture taken from my dads phone [ my camera battery died ] but going back this week for more pictures.

the owner used to have all the info about it, like who built it but so far cannot find anything more.

this is only a small part of the miniature structure. I myself have only seen one full side and part of another, there are 3 doors in front I opened one and looked in but could not tell if the interior was done [ that would blow my mind ] but I could see light from the cathedral windows on the far opposite side, getting more pic and info soon.

I think its 1 inch scale but not sure

The owner said there are 100 windows in it. The artisan / builder made 5 pieces, all famous landmarks, some european landmarks, this one took him the longest to build I was told
