I worked on the porch a lot over the past week. It's almost finished now. I'm just waiting to receive some porch spindles. I think the dark tones are making it a little ominous. I'm hoping the addition of the roof and some more blue will make it less scary and more handsome. Antiquing of the white siding should make it look more authentic too. This is a heck of a lot tougher than the tiny Buttercup. Next step might be trying my hand at some wiring. Yikes!

Your windows, siding and posts look great. Your whole house looks so smooth. I can never get the windows etc. to look so smooth. How do you do it?

Hi. First I paint them. Then I sand them. Then I paint them again. Then I do clean up work. It takes forever but i like how it looks. I polyurethane everything except for the white parts. I plan on antiquing when it's all together. It just feels relaxing to do for some reason...
