Another view. Front door color?

I don't know if I should make the door the deep red or just stain it wood color. The plants I just stuck on for now to get an idea of how it will look. I'll add an edge to the porch floor so it doesn't just look like an MDF rectangle and more like a wooden front step.

I just painted it red to match the shutters. I've found even the better quality Houseworks doors etc don't stain as nicely as they used to. I know this is going to be a country decorated house. I love the old fashioned kitchens but may go more contemporary country for this one. The door is Victorian but the windows and all are fairly plain.
