Sugarplum Exterior!

Lisa_F

Ta-Da!

Okay, it needs a little bit of touching up, I can see a few spots where the paint & dirty wash don't quite cover the clay. Amazing the imperfections the camera will pick up that you can't see just by looking at the house

I am very proud of my brickwork though. Could be better but since this is my first time bricking something with clay I am happy with the end results.

And the flowerboxes - I made those myself!!! Scrap wood for the flowerboxes and then mini flowers purchased online & at Michael's to fill them.

Kelly (rodentraiser on the forum) very kindly altered the door that I purchased for the house - the door was much too big and she took it apart & made it smaller so I could use it, thank you Kelly!

Next step is to landscape the yard for the cottage, but I need to get some of that green flocking stuff to sprinkle on the base for grass before I can go any further.

I'm not a big fan of brick, but I like this little cottage and I think Lisa did a good job on it. I could not have done as well with the clay my first time, I know that. Hence my continuing attempt to wiggle out of trying it.

And although I know Lisa isn't trying to finish the inside that much, I like that almost more then the outside. And I've seen the little yard - now that's going to be neat!
