Spring Fling 2010

KathieB

The shop is primitive. The potter is more interesting in making pots than selling them. Business is handled very informally, out of his apron pocket or a wooden box in the studio.

Both roof sections are removable. Everything in both rooms is glued down, so when it come to dusting, whether with canned air or a mini Swiffer, it will be easier to do with the roofs removed.

Edit: Folks have been commenting on the door. Thanks! :) I traced the front part of the door on the flat back of the door and burned in the lines with my woodburning kit, then painted it with shadows to make it look somewhat dimensional. I think I need either a ceramic exhibit poster or some colorful plates hanging on the blank wall behind the door.

Wonderful job! Your work is always so inspiring! I love the color of the door- so eye-catching.

Thanks for sharing!

I agree that it needs plates hanging on the wall, shelves with more pots are too likely to get banged into with the door.

This is the first I've seen of your work, Kathie! Oh, what I've been missing. You are truly an artist. Every detail is simply beautiful.
