My favourite purchase for this build is the dog. He's just made of plastic and was cheap but he fitted the bill perfectly for a stray that hangs round a beach restaurant. He hasn't got a name.
All of the wiring in the building is channelled down that box construction to the left of the kitchen door. The toilet lights, inside and out and the lantern in the workshop are threaded through a drinking straw which I painted black and stuck behind a beam in the workshop. They pass through a hole in the wall directly into the wiring box. The lights on the upper floor of the workshop run along the roof joint and drop into the same wiring box. The wiring box is stuck on to the outside of the building using double sided tape so that if I have problems, its all fairly easy to get to. The mass of wires pass under the deck, through a hole into the space beneath the kitchen where they are plugged into a lighting strip. The piece of wood at the front of the kitchen, hiding that space is hinged with a strip of chamois leather which allow it to flip up easily.
