Train exterior and interior of the corridor-side wall.  The exterior is blue and white, with gold trim.  The interior is actually wallpapered with “mahogany” panels, featuring some actual marquetry from the Orient Express.  I coated the paper with ModPodge to give it a satiny finish like fine wood.  I tried to stain the wood that came with the kit, but was never able to achieve the color and finish I wanted.

No.  I printed and decoupaged, then went over the edges with paint.  It took a few tries to match the blue!

Such beautiful work you are doing Deborah! Love the lettering as well and love your technique. The gold trim is very lux. Love all the colours of the exterior and the interior is wonderful. Great solution to the wood issue. It's very convincing.
