Agitator in the washer

otterine

The Brownstone will have a mudroom with a washer and dryer, and now I have the perfect set -- a generous gift from a blog reader Barbara.

The set is by Town Square Miniatures, designed by Mary Beth Tumlin. In the package was a tiny bottle of Tide.

I'd never seen this set before, even though I've researched washer dryer sets in miniature. It's a remarkable set with realistic detailing. There's even an agitator in the washer!

I was flabbergasted when I found this set on ebay sometime ago, but could never find information about the designer, or if she ever made anything else. I think she would make a fantastic kitchen stove. Someone had chipped off my buttons and glued them back on crooked though.

But it's a fantastic set, and the washer spins!

This is way too much, or as my friend Helen would say, "Get out of town." I love the writing on the control panel, which is so very realistic. From the picture alone, I would have no idea that I was looking at a miniature set and not a full-sized washer and dryer.
