Dining room chairs

How elegant!

excellent chairs I have always liked this style, I have some of that same wallpaper, looks great in this room

So funny... I also have that wallpaper on order for my VM800! Great minds think alike. I am just in awe of ALL of your work. How did you learn to make the chairs?

I have gone through a lot of the instructions on the website 1inchminisbykris.blogspot.com. I've made two couches based on her instructions for an upholstered chair. Neither one turned out spectacular, but the instructions are really informative, and I'm getting better! When I get back from vacation I'm going to make two side chairs for the living room based on her French chaise tutorial. She uses matte board, foam core and card stock to make her furniture. The results are amazing! The dining room chairs are my own design, I started with styrene (from my model railroad days) but matte board probably would have worked as well. But I upholstered them using her methods I learned from the chair tutorial. I embellished them with cut outs from doilies and the piping is nylon cord.
