Weird primer reaction

Polymermini2

I had a very strange experience. One side of one of the pieces of plywood turned to an odd light yellow-green after the primer dried. I reprimed it, and the same thing happened. This picture shows the lower part with dried primer and the upper part with the second coat of fresh primer. However, the whole thing now looks the same color as the lower part once again. This did not happen with any of the other pieces that I primed. Hmmmm.

I am so sorry this happened.

I think it's the wood. I also believe someone on here has said something about sealing wood before painting to prevent this. I know this doesn't help now and don't know a solution, but someone on here must have an idea how to fix it.

Wow. I've painted a whole lot of plywood in my day and not seen anything like that.

You might contact Greenleaf and link to this gallery post. It looks (?) like you're not too far along, and they might be able to send you a replacement for just this bum piece... but at least, they would undoubtedly want to know about it, to do a little troubleshooting on what happened there and for future quality-control purposes.
