havanaholly Posted September 27, 2007 Share Posted September 27, 2007 It was actually sticking out of his anus and they had to pull it out20 years ago I went to work in a state hospital (not the one at Chattahoochee, but the one I transferred FROM to work there) I had one resident gentleman who had suffered severe head trauma with brain injury requiring his hospitalization long-term, and one of his problems was pica (eating the inedible), so during every shift at least one person was constantly involved in keeping the floors clean. One evening we were prepping the chairbound residents for bed and were changing this particular gentleman (who was also incontinent) when I noticed something strange poking out of an orifice it had no business being; I pulled out almost three feet of mop string!
