minnieme
Hi Heidi! I know all about the long hiatus. I am taking one myself. Mostly, because my MHM is in the garage and it has been too cold to even try to warm it up out there. But, I am really anxious to get back at it. I really love the colors you picked out for yours. I am still thinking on what to use on mine. Probably end up changing it several times before I am happy. I wanted to ask you about the front porch post. Do you know how many inches long the 3 posts are that sit on top of the pedistal. I can't find it in the instructions and I have been hoping to find out before I have to keep cutting till it fits. Also, I am thinking about using regular porch posts instead of the 3 individual ones. I read some place that someone said their's was crooked once they got them all cut. heidiiiii
Pam, The posts are 5 inches long approx. I had to contort myself to get back there so it might be a milimeter or so off. My MHM is front and center in my livingroom. I work on it when the mood strikes me. She is going to be a looooonnnggg build. I have taken my time with it..almost 2 years now. I HOPE I have her basically finished this year. I will never be finished but no more naked rooms.
minnieme
Thank you for the information. I would love to have mine in the main part of the house, but I don't have the room right now. Once I get away from it, I have trouble getting started again. I got mine about 2 1/2 years ago, and started right away then got to the point where I need help from hubby, and didn't get back to it for awhile. I am taking my time too, I figure if I am going to do this I want it to do right the first time.
