FoofieFoo
I hope someone here can help me find a source for a particular type of needlepoint canvas, or provide the name of the material. It's finely woven, very thin, burlap brown in color and stiff. I've seen it used to make realistic looking miniature baskets and straw type hats; which is what I'd like to use it for, as well as to make mini chair seat covers that resemble rush seats. I've looked at needlepoint suppliers on the web and haven't found it. I'd be very grateful for any information you can provide.
Anna
You might be looking for the "aidia" canvas? Hugs
FoofieFoo
Thank you ever so much! I just found what I was looking for by searching for aida canvas. In case anyone else would like to know, the fabric is known as Double Thread Antique Canvas and also Antique Tapestry Double Thread Canvas. Cuppa-Tea
Me Too! I have some 28-count brown Aida that I use for mini samplers, but it sounds like what you have is better.

havanaholly
I have several project how-tos that call for this material, including an Edwardian wheelchair, a pram and a hanging basket-chair (from the late 60s).
