Diputsinva
Hi all, When my dollhouse was built by original owner she didn’t wire the 3rd floor of the Bostonian. I’ve been looking for a tutorial for adding wiring to existing and can’t find one. Does know how it can be done? Thank you again for all your help! havanaholly
What about the mini battery lights? Seems simpler than adding to a tape run or installing a separate system. Edited February 2, 2023 by havanaholly
KathieB
Brainstorming ... Seems to me it wouldn't be too difficult to uncover a bit of tape on the 2nd floor and add a section to run up to the 3rd floor. It may have to fold over the edge of the ceiling/floor but can be hidden. It might also pass from one floor to the nest through a slit cut next to an outer wall. I think soldering a couple wires could also "jump" the power from the extant tape to the new tape through a hole drilled in the floor; that would be easy to hide under crown molding and baseboard. If you are after illumination but not necessarily individual light fixtures, I'd think about a string of remote control mini-LEDs hidden behind a "beam" at the ceiling level. Like the battery-operated lights that Holly suggests, they would not need to be attached to the already installed wiring system. (Plus, remote control is one of my new fascinations. )
