SusannaT
I got my knitting magazine in the mail yesterday and found some very simple directions on making mini sized (is it skein? I need a dictionary ) yarn for knitting. I posted a scan of the how-to and a pic of my finished product on my blog. Have fun.
nuttiwebgal
hey Ive remember seeing this before! thanks for reminding me and giving a link for the instructions...do you know what size yarn is used? or did I just miss it. thanks so much for the link! nutti
SusannaT
It doesn't say what size yarn. The green one I used was thin mohair but the denim yarn is actually really thick, but you can't even tell
havanaholly
Thanks for the link, Susanna. I seem to remember Jonathan ben David describing this method when he was making his needlework shop. When I'm actually doing miniature knitting or crochet I find that single-strand embroidery cotton (DMC works a charm) most resemble scale worsted. For the yarn skeins probably single-ply crewel/ tapestry yarn might work as well & give more coverage.
