Guest Happy Heart
This dress was made without a pattern or a clue as to what the finished product would be. Only guidelines I had were 'green velvet and to fit a 9-month-old baby girl'. O---k ... It was a gift for a friend to give as a gift. It's actually two seperate dresses. The embroidered taffeta under-dress has tiny little pearl buttons down the back and super-full sleeves and skirt. I need to do much more sewing just for the enjoyment of it ...
Dalesq
It's lovely! I'm sure they will love it! It's also awfully nice of you.
Guest Happy Heart
It's lovely! I'm sure they will love it! It's also awfully nice of you. I hope so, thanks. There's an abbreviated 'step-by-step' in my gallery. I needed to keep my mind off the fact that my Dad was very sick in hospital over Christmas, you know how it is late at night. Having a project to immerse myself in sure helps keep the worry demons away. He's home and doing better.

GirlPiper
That looks like it was a lot of fun. Like a big doll's dress, and beautifully executed.
Guest Happy Heart
Thanks for the update, I've been thinking about you & your dad. It was very scary there for a while Holly, couldn't think, talk or even type about it.
