Shakyshaky
David it has been years since I saw a dollhouse miniatures magazine. I used to get it and miniature collector but I let them both go because they did not really have how to's. I love the pics but I need more. hydroped
Hi Melanie, Yea Dollhouse Miniatures has really gotten a lot more into the how to articles which is one of the things I like. It really came in handy last November when I was working on my Santa house and wanted to have toys and things for the attick and under the tree and had no idea where to start. They had some great articles inculding one on how to make teddy bears out of chenille stems I made the teddy, a dinosaur, a tigger, a zebra I got a little carried away but it was fun! As with all magazines some issues are better than others (and for different folks than others) but I'm really glad I resubscribed. -David
uppitycats
I'm real new to the dollhouse world and just started my subscription to Dollhouse Miniatures earlier this year, so I didn't know about its past incarnations.. but I find THIS version really nice because it does have lots of patterns, and sheets of stuff I can copy on my printer. I haven't made anything directly from the magazine, but I've used the patterns for book covers, little kitty-litter boxes, and all sorts of other adaptations for stuff. When my house is done, I've got a whole box-ful of little accessories I can use to decorate the insides. And there are tons of links there to other sites, both commercial vendors and builders of dollhouses, along with addresses and phones and all that. I end up reading each issue from cover to cover, including the ads
