havanaholly
Looks like spackle to me! Oh, Dean, PLEASE bring this one ba-a-ack! I wanna build one! I can see this rascal in half-timber with a stone tower (Tracy, another house with a tower! Yeah!), begging to be Tudor or earlier. BTW, I picked up a copy of The Aristocrats, apparently a c"companion" volume to a TV show (PBS?) for less than US$3 today. What a resource for Georgian decor & dressing Georgian dolls! Every time those people turned around, it seems they were having babies! I'll have to hit my copy of Hogarth etchings to do dolls for the servants... Some day... ilovecats
your houses looks good, is it paper clay. what house is it can't wait to see what your plans are for it, tell us about what you are going to do with this house. The interior is spackle, but i ran out of it and used dry wall mud for the exterior. Although the spackle was more gooey, it looks nicer and didn't crack! The dry wall mudd has a bunch a small cracks in it but i was able to fill most of them with paint. I'll put moss on the rest of the cracks. I was planning to use thatch for the roof, but i'd have to order is, so I found some moss at Michael's (one of the craft stores here in the U.S.) I think it will look really cool. I've used it before, it's very messy tho as it is true moss, the dirt falls out of it when you are taking it out of the package. I am planning to make it into a witch cottage for a nice witch (not a white which, but a regular witch). I'll post a picture.... You did a Fantastic Job Marg!! I can't wait to see more. This house is so tiny but it is one of my favorites!! Thanks Tracy! my next step is to add a little aging to it....
